Luna Rosa (Virginia Hernández Becerra) is a Colombian-Belgian visual artist, writer, and cultural curator whose work explores resilience, memory, identity, and the invisible emotional landscapes of the human experience.

For more than three decades, she has developed a distinctive artistic language that merges abstract expressionism, figurative symbolism, and poetic storytelling into immersive visual narratives inspired by nature, ancestral memory, and the transformative power of hope. Through painting and literature, she creates spaces where emotion becomes color and every work invites reflection, dialogue, and inner transformation.

Since settling in Europe in 2002, Luna Rosa has transformed personal experience into a universal visual language that builds bridges between cultures. Her artistic practice encourages empathy, intercultural dialogue, and collective memory while celebrating art as a space for connection and healing.

Her artistic universe is inhabited by butterflies, birds, golden spirals, sacred landscapes, and ancestral symbols that celebrate freedom, dignity, and humanity’s profound relationship with nature. Deeply inspired by the wisdom of Indigenous cultures, her recent works pay tribute to the spiritual legacy of pre-Columbian civilizations, exploring cyclical time, cultural identity, and the enduring dialogue between past and present.

Alongside her artistic career, Luna Rosa founded ColombiArtistica, a cultural initiative dedicated to building bridges between Latin America and Europe through exhibitions, artistic residencies, and intercultural dialogue. She is also the author of several books exploring resilience, migration, women’s empowerment, and personal transformation, extending her artistic voice beyond the canvas into literature.
